IVSA Maintenance Training

Training

The training will be for a period of three (3) consecutive days and will be held in the RH Marine premises in Schiedam, The Netherlands. The participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of IVSA's architecture, networking, shared resources control, and ship cloud environment, enabling them to effectively maintain similar integrated system setups in the future.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of Integrated Virtualised System Architecture (IVSA) and its advantages over traditional stand-alone systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in network connectivity, including the configuration and maintenance of redundant Ethernet infrastructure.
  • Implement shared resources control principles using servers, thin clients, and panel PCs to optimize system computing power and achieve redundancy.
  • Utilize ship cloud environments to access applications and remotely manage equipment connected to the IVSA network.
  • Recognize the key technical features of IVSA, including enhanced connectivity, independence of hardware and software elements, and simplified cyber security implementation.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks for IVSA installations, including hardware replacement, component upscaling, and software upgrades.
  • Apply best practices for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of IVSA systems in compliance with maritime standards.
